Position Statement

The Co-Director, Advocacy & Development is responsible for implementing the political, policy, and leadership development agendas of EQNM, and developing, growing, and sustaining the resources necessary to support them. This role is guided by the vision and mission of EQNM, the leadership of the Board of Directors, the expertise of staff and strategic partners, and the voice of the community at large.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Organizational development as a progressive political leader in New Mexico and the Southwest

  • State and local political organizing, education, and advocacy (policy, elections, candidates)

  • Fund development, including membership, major donors, grants, board-led fundraising, and events

  • Local coalitions and campaigns lead (both EQNM- and partner-led)

  • National coalitions and partnerships lead

  • EQNM (c4) Board of Directors staff
