2023 in NM will be a big year for LGBTQ Liberation. Coming fresh out of a very successful legislative session earlier in the year, we are motivated and fully energized to continue our work to guarantee that queer and trans individuals in NM are recognized everywhere decisions are being made.
Looking towards the future, in 2023 we will see the elections of school board members and local municipal governments. These elections are extremely important when it comes to securing the rights of our lgbtq+ youth as well as those in rural communities and we intend to give it our all to ensure Equality Champions are elected to these available seats! Keep an eye out for EQNM endorsements on all socials.
It is critical that we raise enough resources to engage our Queer and Trans Communities in all of these opportunities to shift policy in 2023.
