Sustaining members are donors who give at least $10 monthly, supporting our work to build power for queer and transgender people in New Mexico. We do this through advancing policy, engaging people in our work, and getting out the vote of our community:

Policy

• Expanding non-discrimination protections at the Children Youth and Families Department and Public Education Departments;

• Advocating for a state budget that funds important programming for our communities;

• Eliminating the publication requirement when trans members of the community change their name;

• Banning the use of the Panic Defense

• Advocating for explicit coverage for transition-related care in Medicaid

People

• Educating the public on our issues to a statewide audience;

• Building a robust volunteer engagement program;

• Convening the NM LGBTQ+ Roundtable to deepen connections between agencies serving the LGBTQ2S+ community;

• Developing leaders from within the LGBTQ2S+ community to be leaders in our communities, statewide;

GOTV

• Getting out voters from the LGBTQ2S+ community and our allies.
