Albuquerque, NM – May 19, 2015 – Equality New Mexico is taking part in the national day of giving, “Give OUT Day” on Thursday, May 21st. This annual one-day giving event supports and promotes giving to LGBTQ causes and organizations.
“By pledging money to Equality New Mexico, supporters and allies can ensure that their money is going to good use for LGBTQ causes here in the state of New Mexico,” said Amber Royster, Executive Director for EQNM. “With the generous gifts of our supporters in years past, we have made great strides toward making New Mexico communities aware of the issues facing the LGBTQ community, and have made progress toward our vision of a fair and just New Mexico. Donations given during Give OUT Day will continue this positive work in all of our communities statewide.”
EQNM has been active in garnering business support for the LGBTQ community, as well as working to prevent bullying in schools and address discrimination with their New Mexico Safe Schools Initiative and their Accountability Matters project. Give OUT Day donations can be given early and through May 21st. For more information or to donate, visit http://bit.ly/GiveOUT-EQNM.
